TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

KNI has a skilled training department that provides training opportunities for all staff at KNI. In addition to providing training for the direct support staff members who comprise KNI's "home teams," the Training Department coordinates training opportunities for all other KNI staff. Our adult education specialist supports the learning needs of our employees and consults with CDDOs regarding training content and presentation methodologies, as well as with staff who are interested in furthering their education. KNI staff members can also participate in a variety of training offered through Kansas Social and Rehabilitation Services.

      • Tools of influence
      • Stress for Success
  • Adult Learning Support

The Nursing Education Department coordinates Certified Nurse's Aide and Certified Medication Aide training for direct support staff as well as continuing education for KNI's nurses. KNI also employs an adult educator who can provide guidance and assistance to staff members who need special assistance to succeed in their educational endeavors.
